HAPPY ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO DFB!

Happy Anniversary! 💎

Howdy Diamondfaith.blog family! One year ago, I started this blog without knowing who would read it, if anyone would read it, or where God would take it. Today I’m grateful for the ways God has used this journey to shape my heart. Writing these pieces helps me slow my pace and reminisce on the places I’ve walked, seeing firsthand how the earth is filled with His glory. It also gives me space to dig deeper into Scripture, and through it I’ve learned so much and grown closer to the Lord. Thank you to everyone who’s read, prayed, shared, or encouraged me along the way. Here’s to 2026, a year full of more adventure, scripture, growth, travel, and faith. One year of blogging, and all glory belongs to Him. May the stories, reflections, and adventures ahead continue to point to Jesus. Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or just found the page, thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting. As a little bonus, to celebrate the one-year anniversary of DFB, I decided to share a working blog draft I have never finished. It was on a different platform and, as you’ll soon see, it’s kind of a mess lol. But I’m excited to share the working title and the early ideas I was playing with. I wrote it back in December 2023, and it’s wild to think how much longer it took before I finally went full-send on this blog, which officially launched on January 5, 2025. Some seeds just take a little longer to break the soil, and looking back, I can see that God was shaping the vision long before I ever hit “publish.” It’s been a journey, but I’m grateful God’s timing was better than mine, it always is.

Colossians 3:17 NLT: And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

England (thus far)

1 year anniversary of living in England.
It’s amazing to see how the Lord can change things so rapidly (in this case for the better.) I have been in constant awe of England and in even more awe of God’s grace. The architecture, the people, the atmosphere, it all reminds me of how great our God is. Touching every inch of the earth from one side of the pond to another, now and forevermore.

“Alright, time to go home.“
I caught myself saying that to a buddy while I was leaving the gym. I mean, am I really going home? kind of? London is not really my home. I suppose it is just temporary. I’ll truly be home in September, back to good ol’ Orange County, CA. It will be nice to see all my friends and family.

It’s not always easy being so far away from home. Far away from the familiar. The streets, faces, and food, especially “Lupe’s“ out in Dana P. Until then it’s time to recap some moments in the UK.

Firstly, I got to see my buddy Shane Told out here (he also happens to sing in my favorite band of all time.) His band, Silverstein, was playing a show out in Camden at a venue called “The Electric Ballroom.” Prior to the show we met up and had some lunch at this place called “The Worlds End” ’twas a day to remember.

In the words of my good friend Shane Told of Silverstein:
*“This place is called home but
It’s not where I will stay
It’s all temporary, I know I’ll never move away
But I know this city will always feel strange, this city is a stranger to me. Song: Toronto Unabridged off the album “I am alive in everything I touch.”

One response to “HAPPY ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO DFB!”

  1. Happy Anniversary DFB! I love how you find spiritual growth and closeness to God through writing this blog. It’s amazing how when we seek after our Heavenly Father he meets us where we are and takes us on an even greater journey — and it’s simply by the choice we make to look for him in the day to day and then spend intentional time with him. He’s ready and waiting for us—we simply need to respond. Thanks for sharing and Godspeed as you continue your faith journey through your travels and life experiences. ✝️🫶
